국제 금값이 대선과 연방준비제도의 금리 정책 결정을 포함한 미국의 주요 이벤트를 앞두고 안정세를 유지했다.
월요일(4일 현지시간) 뉴욕상업거래소에서 올해 12월물 금 선물 가격은 전거래일 대비 0.1%(3달러) 하락한 온스당 2,746.20달러에 거래를 마감했다. 지난달 30일 사상 최대치를 찍고 반락한 금가격이 2거래일 연속 거의 변동이 없는 모습이다. 장중 금가격은 온스당 2,739.40~2,757.50달러 레인지 부근내에서 오르내렸다.
금 현물 가격은 동부표준시 기준 오후 1시 52분(그리니치표준시 오후 7시 52분)에 0.1% 상승한 온스당 2,737.35달러에 거래됐다.

미국은 5일(현지시간) 전역에서 백악관의 새 주인을 결정하는 대통령 선거를 치른다.
여론 조사에 따르면 민주당 후보 카말라 해리스와 공화당 후보 도널드 트럼프가 백악관 경쟁에서 치열한 경쟁을 벌이고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
이는 투자자들을 긴장시키고 있는 요인이다. 그 결과가 글로벌 금 시장에 영향을 미칠 것이라는 것을 알고 있기 때문이다.
지난 주말 공화당 우세 지역인 아이오와주(州)에서 해리스가 트럼프를 앞질렀다는 여론조사에 관망세는 더 짙어졌다.
또한 주말 동안 해리스가 트럼프와 격차를 거의 다 좁혔다는 조사 결과도 잇따랐다.

시카고상품거래소(CME) 페드워치툴에 따르면 연방기금금리 선물시장에서 11월 기준금리가 동결될 확률은 2%, 25bp 인하 확률은 98%로 반영됐다. 시장은 25bp 금리인하를 기정사실화하는 분위기다.
UBS 애널리스트 지오바니 스타우노보는 “이번 주 금값의 동인은 미국 대선이 될 것 같다. 연준이 시장 기대에 맞춰 추가 인하를 시사할 가능성이 높기 때문에 이번 금리 인하가 큰 움직임을 유발하지는 않을 것으로 보인다"고 말했다.
한편, 현물 은 가격은 거래 초반에 온스당 32.26달러로 2주 이상 만에 최저치를 기록한 이후 0.1% 상승해 32.47달러를 나타냈다. 플래티넘은 1% 하락해 982.75달러에 거래됐고, 팔라듐은 1.8% 하락해 1,077.72달러를 기록했다.
이 시각 국제 금값시세(오전 10시 기준, 런던 LBMA 금값시세)는 2,734달러 선에 움직이고 있다.
국내 금가격도 보합권을 나타냈다.
5일 한국금거래소 따르면 소비자가 순금 1돈(24k, 3.75g) 살때 가격은 전장과 같은 517,000원(VAT포함)이다(오전 10시 기준).
소비자가 순금 1돈 팔때 가격은 전일과 같은 461,000원이다. 18k, 14k 팔때 가격도 각각 338,900원, 262,800원으로 전 거래일과 같은 수준이다(18k와 14k 살때는 제품시세를 적용한다).
이 밖에 은 살때 시세는 전 거래일 대비 0.16% 내린 6,310원, 팔때는 0.2% 하락한 5,020원을 기록했다. 백금 살때 가격은 전일보다 1.59% 내린 189,000원, 팔때 가격은 1.31% 하락한 153,000원이다.
한국거래소(KRX) 금값은 전 거래일 종가 대비 0.16% 하락한 g당 121,670원에 거래되고 있다(오전 10시 기준).
서울 외환시장에서 원·달러 환율은 전 거래일보다 6.1원 오른 1377.0원에 거래를 출발했다.
